Dialogue 1 贸易展会前期准备
A: Did you send our order to the printers for more company literature? I’m worried we won’t get it in time.
B: In time for what? I sent the order out two days ago, they promised to get it done by Friday. I don’t know why we needed more than 2 thousand corporate brochures(企业宣传册). We certainly can’t hand out that many in the office.
A: It’s not for handing out in the office, we have a trade show to do in Las Vegas next weekend. Everything has been prepared for our booth(展位), but we don’t have enough flyers(传单) and handouts(宣传册) to the attendees.
B: That’s right, I forgot we were going to participate in the show this year. Who will be responsible for the booth?
A: Four members of our team will take the responsibility. Our marketing director(市场总监) is going early to participate in the conference beforehand, and the rest of us will leave next Thursday. The show will open on Friday and will last for three days.
B: Have you gone in past years? I’ve heard the expo is the largest in our industry. It must be pretty exciting to see so many exhibitors from all over the nation.
A: I went last year. It’s a great opportunity to see the trends in the industry. Also, it’s an important event for our marketing and sales department. The leads we get from this expo will account for about 20% of our annual sales.
Dialogue 2 展会交流
A: Hi, is there anything particular you are interested in? Can I answer any questions for you about our display?
B: Yes, could you tell me more about your services?
A: We represent the pharmaceutical company(制药公司) that produces generic brand prescription pain medications. We supply products to over twenty countries, and we are also involved deeply in medical research and development. Are you interested in any particular area of medical services?
B: I am looking for information about current drug therapies(治疗方法). Do you have any recent reports or information you can give me?
A: Certainly, we have a bi-monthly journal which details our current projects. If you leave your information on our mailing list, I can send you a free copy in the mail. May I have your card?
B: Oh, I’ve just run out of my business cards. But I can write my information down for you. Do you have a business card?
A: Yes. Here is my card. Let me give you a copy of our latest catalog. The catalog contains an extensive list of our current products and services, and also many details about our recent projects. If you have any questions in specific, I can help you to figure it out or I can contact you later.
