It slipped my mind 我都忘了这回事了
当我们要表达本来应该知道或记住的事情但是却一时忘了或一时没想起来时，就可以用这句话来表示。类似的用法还有：“Oh,I forgot.”(喔，我忘了!)“I didn't think of that right away.”(我一时没想起来。)等。

Joe:Happy New Year!
乔：新年快乐!
Brian:I thought NeW Year was over four weeks ago.
布莱思：我还以为过新年是四个早期以前的事了。
Joe: Come on. it's the Chinese New Year!
乔：拜托，我说的是中国新年!
Brian: Oh. it slippod my mind.l'm so forgetful these days.
布莱恩：喔，我都忘了。我最近很健忘。
在这段对话里，Brian忘了中国新年已经来了，于是说"It slipped my mind."
