1.“traveler,s check”意为“旅行支票”,亦可写作“traveller's cheque”,是一种在一个银行或旅游公司的各分支机构购买的、在世界各地均可兑现的支票,只有通过购买者的批准和其在支票上的签名才有效。
2.“service charge”意为“服务费,手续费”,例如:There's a $1 service charge for using another bank's cash machine.(使用其
他银行的自动取款机取款要收取1美元的手续费。)
3.“madam”的意思同“ma'am”,都是对妇女的礼貌称呼,后者多用于美国口语中。
