【传统话题】
这类话题具有很强的普遍性，在各类英语口语考试中也经常被采用，常涉及传统文化问题。如果考官为外国人，他可能会对你说在地区的文化习俗很感兴趣，所以要提前熟记相关词汇及表达。例如：

What does happiness mean to you?

【热点话题】
常涉及目前社会上普遍关心和谈论的话题，所以考生最好在这段时间多阅读一些相关中文报道或英文报道，可以事先拿一些常规话题训练一下，看是否能完整的陈述出自己的观点及看法。例如：
Going abroad;
Online learning;
Information age;
Your view on Microblog;
What do you think of smog?
What is your point of view about the hot debate of private housing?
What are the main problems in our society/of college education, and how to solve them?
Somebody thinks that it is necessary for every university student to take, do you agree or disagree?
【非常规话题】
当然，有些导师也会提到一些非常规话题，考生们要能够随机应变。

如何让我们在和老师沟通的时候，更加通顺流畅呢?
1. 当面试老师提问结束后，考生最好不要直接就回答问题，这时可以很有礼貌地说：“ok, thank you for your question”。(好，感谢老师的提问。)
2. 对于面试老师提出来的问题没有听明白时，不能沉默不答。考生最好说：“sorry, could you rephrase that question?”(抱歉，能再重述一下刚刚那个问题吗?)或者说：“Can you say that again, please?”(你能再说一遍吗?)
3. 当面试重新复述了一遍刚提的问题后，如果考生依然没有听明白，可以说：“I’m so sorry. Can I change another one?”(抱歉，我能换个问题回答吗?)
4. 当面试老师提出的问题有些难度，不能马上作答，需要思考时，考生切记长时间的低头不语。这时可以说：“oh, let me see.”(哦，让我想一想)
5. 当一个问题回答完毕时，记得最后加上：“ok, that’s all. Thank you. ”(好了，就这些，谢谢。)
6. 当在坐的各位面试官对你回答的问题，进行点评时，一定要虚心听取，微笑点头示意，当老师点评结束时，这时可以很有礼貌地说：“Thank you for your attention.”(谢谢各位老师的关心。)
