Recently, I read the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, one of the four masterpieces. The content of the book is about the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, when the world was falling apart, wars broke out, and Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan gradually rose. The three kingdoms of Wei, Shu and Wu formed a trend of confrontation, and the three kingdoms competed with each other, creating many unique characters: Zhuge Liang, a resourceful man who knows astronomy above and geography below, loyalty and loyalty, Guan Yu, a brave man who is good at fighting, Zhang Fei, a rough and meticulous man, Zhou Yu, a talented and narrow-minded man, Sun Quan, an ambitious, talented and capable man, Cao Cao, a man of great literary ability and military strategy, and a treacherous man

Among them, I most admire Zhuge Liang, who knows astronomy, geography and resourcefulness. Why do I admire him most? Because he is very resourceful, let's take the story of "Grass Boat Borrows an Arrow" as an example.

In that story, Zhou Yu deliberately made trouble for Zhuge Liang and ordered him to build 100000 arrows in ten days. Confronted with the impossible task, Kongming confidently replied that it would not take ten days to complete it in three days, and made a military order. Lu Su was very worried. Kongming was not worried at all. He asked Lu Su to take twenty boats to him., There should be thirty people on each boat, and a thousand drafters should be arranged on both sides of the boat.

Two days later, at the fourth watch on the third day, Zhuge Liang suddenly sent someone to invite Zhou Yu and said that he would go to fetch the arrow with him. Zhou Yu was skeptical and set out with Zhuge Liang.

At five o'clock, the fleet approached Cao Jun's water village. Kong Ming ordered the ships to line up. The soldiers beat drums and shouted. Hearing the sound of war drums and shouting, Cao Jun, the commander of the navy, thought there would be an ambush, so he asked more than ten thousand archers to line up along the river and shoot arrows into the river. When the arrows on the scarecrow are full. Zhuge Liang immediately ordered the soldiers to turn the boat around and leave quickly. Zhou Yu didn't believe him when he came to the camp. They sent people to count the arrows on the grass, and there were indeed more than 100000 arrows. From then on, Zhou Yu never bothered Zhuge Liang.

Zhuge Liang used his intelligence to gain the trust of Zhou Yu, who was narrow-minded. This is why I admire Zhuge Liang most.

this semester i studied in novel " old man and sea " of hemingway, famous writer of u.s.a.。 i admire the old fisherman's will in the novel very much, he lets me understand that a person must have unremitting spirit, could succeed 。 what the novel is described is an old fisherman almost the sixty years old, when go to sea and fish alone once, have angled to a big fish, but can not draw. after tough fisherman and fish have socialized for a few days, just find this is a big malin's fish which exceeds several times of one's own fishing boat, though know perfectly well that it is very difficult to win, does not give up yet. because big malin fish fishlike smell of wound attract odd herds of shark vie for the food again later, but the old man is still unwilling to give up like this, stress the tight encirclement finally, take the large fish back to fishing port, let other fishmen admire it endlessly.

we will be the motherland future, will be supposed to like this old person same mind lofty aspiration, will even better pursue even better, the bigger goal. when i read " the big marlin start fast to gather round the young fishing boat hover, twined the cable on the mast, the old person right hand lifted up high the steel fork, leapt the water surface in it the flash, did utmost throws to its heart, one wail ended the big fish’s life, it was static static floats on the water surface.。. " i extremely admire old person that kind do not dread, the relentless spirit, although knows the match strength is very strong, but he not slightly flinches, but is welcomes difficultly above. just because had this kind of spirit, the senior fisherman only then achieved this life and death contest success.

we also must study senior fisherman’s spirit in life, handles the matter does not fear the difficulty, only then can obtain successfully. was reading the big fish’s smell of blood is smelled by one crowd of shark fish, struggled swims snatches the food, old person’s left hand happen to in the convulsions, he only could use the right hand, with wooden stick, the mouth and so on all was allowed to use for the weapon self-defense which attacked, and finally expelled this crowd of shark fish. but the big fish’s meat was already eaten one most, but the old person also charmingly criticized oneself the left hand " this work time actually was resting " time, i also was subdued by the old person optimistic spirit. in the life, some losses are inevitable, we should treat by the optimistic manner, cannot be calculating.

finally, the novel sees by one youth the senior fisherman fully has 18 foot long big marlin in the measure, once more described this fish’s hugeness, explained senior fisherman overcomes the difficulty was big, non- was more common than. the novel eulogized the spirit which the senior fisherman fear hard and dangerous diligently did not struggle, we also should like his such, could not satisfy the present situation, should positively to above, do any matter all is relentless, meets difficultly must welcome difficultly above, could give up halfway in no way. only has this, we only then can obtain a bigger success and the victory.

On Sister Carrie Carrie was such an ordinary rural girl at the beginning of the story. Sitting on the seat of a bus she couldn’t help feeling exciting at the sight of the metropolis’ spectacle. She was impressed deeply by large crowd on the avenue the spacious square or tall buildings. Far more different from other heroines Carrie was not a plain pure angel like Snow-white nor was she brave enough to be a heroine of revolutionist or even a reformer nor was she so clever as to be a successful career woman who start from scratch.

What attracted her most after her entering this huge metropolis was the incredible fineries fashion shoes smart handbags displaying in the shop windows the jewellerys shining brightly behind the glass. She dreamed that one day she could wear all of these jogging gracefully into the most luxurious hotel with focused sights of admiration. And this was not merely a dream. Because she had large eyes which can earn others’ sympathy even love. She had wonderful figure which can win others’ hearts. However anything she got anywhere she reached had not come from her ambition.

Things happened and then she accepted. That’s what she had just done ? just to accept willingly from the bottom of her heart. She was not at all an evil woman who would give anything for the fortune or fame. However she would give uo something for a better life when her instinct defeated her intellect. That was Carrie a girl had her own desire a human being just like many others in the realistic world. There’s one sentence written in chapter VIII:” When this jangle of free-will instinct shall have been adjusted when perfect understanding has given the former the power to replace the latter entirely man will no longer vary.” However how many people can go that further.

the book “the pianist” is an autobiographical book written by wladyslaw szpilman, who was known as the most accomplished piano player in all of poland, even in europe in the 1930s. szpilman died in 20xx at the age of 88, and he wrote down the amazing story immediately after the liberation of poland, which tells his struggle to survive nazi occupation of poland during world war ii.

szpilman became subject to anti-jewish laws imposed by the conquering germans. by the start of the 1940s, szpilman had seen his world would go from piano concert halls to the jewish ghetto of warsaw and then must suffer the tragedy of his family deported to a death camp. at last deciding to escape, szpilman went into hiding as a jewish refugee where he was a witness to the warsaw ghetto uprising in 1943 and the warsaw city revolt in 1944.

in 1999, this book was rewarded as one of the best books. “ "the pianist," wladyslaw szpilman"s remarkable memoir of his survival in warsaw between the years 1939 and 1945, is a significant contribution to the literature of remembrance, a document of lasting historical and human value. it has all the rawness and specificity of horrors painfully and uncomprehendingly withstood and afterward just as uncomprehendingly --but necessarily-- recorded. writing this book would seem to have been a further act of survival by a man who performed more of them in six years than most human beings do in a lifetime. there are many ways to read a book about the holocaust, and one of them, surely, inevitably, is to try to answer the unanswerable: what makes one man endure when so many others succumb? from szpilman"s testimony we learn this: it is an ineffable and wholly unpredictable mixture of fate, determination, accident, instinct. to know wladyslaw szpilman is, in the most hopeless of contexts, to know a modicum of hope” (l.a.times sunday book review, december 5, 1999).it has been reprinted for many times and was translated to at least 30 kinds of languages. and it was also been made into a movie, which won three oscars: best director, best actor, and best adapted screenplay.

after finishing appreciating the book as well as the movie, i was deeply shocked

and moved. in the ghetto, people lived in fear from minute to minute, starving, ill, tired and witnessing scenes of unspeakable horror. people were shot at random by bored german soldiers; others were registered and sent to concentration camps.by contrast, we are so happy to live in the peaceful world, with enough food, sound body and freedom. there’s no excuse to complain, the only thing we should do is to cherish our beautiful life.

on the process of szpilman’s escape, a number of people help him to survive, including his friends and boss and even a germany caption. that remains me the humanity, which exists among people in every corner of the world. we all have families, we all have friends, and we all have the right to live. but do the germans really can’t understand this point? it seems that they take killing others as game, but after burning the dead bodies of the jews, they become talk about their own mothers…… war, it’s all because the war. how many innocent people die? how much unnecessary loss is caused?

in the end, i would say that everyone has the responsibility to object to and avoid violence and wars, and we must build a harmonious world through our own efforts. then we can really live a happy life.

Old man and big fish fight for two days and two nights, in the process, he constantly and fish, birds and sea dialogue, constant to or when they remember past events. With indomitable willpower and strong faith, he finally held up, conquered the behemoth. Unexpected is that the old man is going to pull the marlin back, large Numbers of sharks are attracted to over eat bundle of marlin on the boat. Although exhausted, San Diego, the old man go to great lengths to fight with sharks, but still being in that big fish shark bite only a empty frame. In the end, the San Diego old man dragged the vast empty skeleton back to the shore.

Old man of the spirit and idea of on their own, the lampholder support, he finally defeated the big fish, also defeated failure, defeated himself. We also should have this spirit in learning, such as difficulties in math, you should learn more, do not easily give up.

An unprecedented masterpiece set off an upsurge of the times. A peerless epic awakened the beauty of burying flowers. It is the first of the four masterpieces - A Dream of Red Mansions.

In this classic masterpiece, I was deeply impressed by the stubborn and disrespectful Jia Baoyu, the thoughtful Lin Daiyu, the warm and kind Xue Baochai, and the eloquent Wang Xifeng.

Jia Baoyu, who was placed in high hopes at birth, is handsome and crazy. He left me the impression that he was fooling around among girls all day long, playing closely with sisters and servant girls, and often making strange remarks. Due to the doting of Jia's mother, Baoyu was less affected by feudal ethics. Jia Baoyu did not like to learn the then "Eight part Essay", but he had a special liking for the "Western Chamber".

In the feudal society at that time, the position of servant girls was extremely low, but Jia Baoyu treated them fairly and thoughtfully, which also reflected his bold challenge to the feudal concept.

Jia Baoyu was indifferent to fame and wealth, never took the road of wealth and wealth, and despised the imperial examination. With repeated advice from his family, he entered the examination room. But when he won the seventh place, he became a monk, which also showed his attitude towards life that was indifferent to fame and wealth.

Let's talk about Lin Daiyu. Lin Daiyu is an intelligent woman. When she first entered the Jia family, she always cared about everything and was careful everywhere. She saw everything in the Jia family and kept it in mind. When Baoyu was ill for a while, she saw that Sister Feng had not visited her. Thinking that Sister Feng had no such heart, she pretended to be in front of her mother, but she made a joke.

It can be said that Dream of Red Mansions is an inexhaustible treasure. The cultural spirit it contains still needs to be further explored. I love reading A Dream of Red Mansions!

Jane Eyre, one of the most famous works of Charlotte Bronte’s, is an inspiring story about a miserable girl who pursue freedom, independence and true love. The story of the independent minded Jane and her love affair with Mr. opened up new dimensions for women both as writer and of feminists. Jane Eyre, the tough girl, really impresses me very much.

One of Jane’s impressive and admiring personalities is her self-respect. She wasn’t beautiful, and the ordinary appearance didn’t make others feel good of her. And some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease. But as Jane had said: ‘Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!’ T is the idea of self-respect in Jane Eyre’s mind. hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of self-respect impresses me so much and let me feel the power inside her body.

The other gorgeous personality I value very much is her selfless love. After leaving Thornfield with a broken heart, Jane experienced quite a lot. She refused the proposal of St.,a handsome priest who helped her a lot when she was starving. Later, Jane inherited a wealth of fortune from her uncle which she shared with her three cousins. But when hearing that Mr. had lost eyesight and made body serious injured while saving his mad wife in a conflagration during which his wife died and all his property was destroyed, Jane returned to Thornfield immediately and devoted her love to Mr. 。 What a great decision for her to go back! If I were Jane, I couldn’t promise to get married with Mr. Rochester who is in such a terrible situation. However, Jane did with all her heart!

I like the novel very much, especially the character ‘Jane Eyre’ who is a great woman in my mind. Jane makes me realize the importance of self-respect and understand what the true love is. In this sophisticated society, we may not avoid being contaminated, but we can remind ourselves of Jane Eyre and try to be an independent and strong-minded person who treasures self-esteem and true love.

When I first read Don Quixote's work, I thought that he was a funny vulgarwork. The nervous "brave spirit" of the protagonist is vividly displayed in thebook, which makes people look down upon him more and more. However, I think thatthe book asks for a certain truth. The essence of people's most basic is toachieve it recklessly for their own goals. From the book, we can see that Askinny Knight like a sorghum pole, the fantastic gentleman always shows hisintegrity and good nature in the process of realizing this, which is the highestspirit of human beings, but also because of his simplicity, he makes manyjokes.

The task of Don Quixote has become a famous model in the world forlearning. His character is complex. On the one hand, he is divorced from realityand always indulges in fantasy. He takes the estimation of his own strength andhis motherland, and fails repeatedly. But on the other hand, his motive is pureand kind. He is determined to eradicate the demons in the world, opposeoppression, eliminate the strong and support the weak. He is full of selflessand fearless spirit. For the question of the crooked knights, his comments arealways profound, clear and philosophical.

There are nearly 700 characters in Don Quixote's book, which describes awide picture of life, truly and comprehensively reflects the contradictions ofthe Spanish Kingdom at the beginning of the 16th century, condemns theshamelessness of the aristocracy, and expresses deep sympathy for the sufferingsof the people. I think it is this willingness that makes this work deeply lovedby people all over the world, so that it is loved by 54 countries and regions inthe world One hundred of the writers were selected as the best classics.

This is the charm of Don Quixote, and I am also deeply attracted by it. Iread it over and over again, and I have many aftereffects after reading it.

  Jane Eyre

Jane was an orphan. She lived in her aunt’s house. Her aunt didn’t like her, so she took her to an orphanage. Jane studied in the orphanage and learned a lot of things. When Jane grew up, she worked as a governess in a big family and taught the child in this family. Bit by bit, Jane and her master Mr Rochester fell in love with each other. But the master had a wife. She was a madwoman. When Jane knew this, she left her teaching post. But she could not forget her master. So, at last, she visited her master. At that time, her master’ house was burnt down and he became handicapped. His mad wife died in the big fire. Jane decided to get married with him and look after him.

Jane Eyre found his real love and she was a happy woman. The most important thing is that Jane believed everybody were equal.

In my mind, though a person’s beautiful face can make others once feel that is attractive 。if his or her mind isn’t the same beautiful as the appearance, such as beauty cannot last, when others find that the beauty which had charmed them was only a falsity, it’s not true, they will not like the person any more. For a long time, only a person’s great virtue, a noble soul, a beautiful heart can be called as an everlsting beauty, just as Kahill Gibran had said, that ‘Beauty is a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted. There are great differences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether a man is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he is beautiful or not.

I’m forced to read this novel at the beginning, but I can’t wait to finishit subsequently。

"It is a truth universally acknowledges that a single man in possession ofa good fortune must be in want of a wife。" This is just as Leo Tolstoy’s famousstarting in 《Anna Karenina》: "All happy families resemble one another, eachunhappy family is unhappy in its own way"。 To begin with such a design, JaneAusten has her deep meaning。 Marriage and money are inseparable。 The undertoneis very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion butpossession。 The author does not deny this。 So she uses typical Bennets to provethis truth。

The story takes place in the class-conscious England of the late 18thcentury。 The five Bennet sisters--including strong-willed Elizabeth and youngLydia--have all been raised by their mother with one purpose in life: finding awealthy husband。 So when a wealthy bachelor shows up in their lives, the wholefamily is turned upside-down。 But when Elizabeth meets up with the handsome butsnobbish Mr。 Darcy, the battle of the sexes is joined。

As we all know, Austen, in this novel, through the five Bennet daughters’attitude towards love and marriage, shows the relationship between mentalfeelings, such as love, and material possessions , which also reflects theauthor''s attitude: Marry for the sake of property, money or status is wrong;marry but do not take into account the above factors is foolish。 As a result, she not only opposed to marry for the purpose of money, but also opposed totreat marriage as child''s play。 She stressed the importance of an idealmarriage。 But in modern society, although the marriages of economic needs havedecreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rootedin some people’s mind。

Then let’s e to talk about the meaningful topic of this love story: 《PrideAnd Prejudice》

Pride and prejudice are our mon problems and weaknesses。 In fact, everyoneis very easy to be driven by his own subjective impression and thus easy to makeincorrect ments on others, and then led to misunderstand between people。 One’sfirst impression can affect a lot of things for sure, but it doesn’t mean itcouldn’t be changed。 The deeper you get to understand someone, the moreobjective points you will have on him or her。 The changing of Elizabeth’s pointof view towards Darcy just proved this perfectly: no pride, no prejudice, andthese two married just because they love each other, just because they need eachother instead of need each other’s possessions。 Austen is smart, becauseElizabeth got beauty and intelligence while Darcy is handsome and rich。 I evenwonder if such a perfect marriage could take place in modern society。

many people simply regard pride and prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. she perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters.

the characters have their own personalities. mrs. bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. mr. bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, mr. darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. even the five daughters in bennet family are very different. jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. mary likes reading classic books. (actually she is a pedant.) kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, lydia. lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. when i read the book, i can always find the same personalities in the society now. that is why i think this book is indeed the representative of the society in britain in the 18th century.

the family of gentleman in the countryside is jane austen’s favourite topic. but this little topic can reflect big problems. it concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in britain in her century. you can find these from the very beginning of this book.

the first sentence in this book is impressive. it reads: “it is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”. the undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession.

people always think that austen was an expert at telling love stories. in fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. after reading this book, i know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.

i couldn’t forget how eager mrs. bennet wants to marry off her daughters. if you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, i must mention the situation in britain at that time. only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his father’s possessions. younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. jane austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century.

in “pride and prejudice”, the sister of mr. bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying jane because the bennets don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. from this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. the society, the relatives would not allow them to get married.

in modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some people’s mind. a lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages. education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. marry for money is still a big problem in our society. we can’t help thinking: can money determine everything?

austen left this problem for us to think. the genius of jane austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. although austen was only 21 when she wrote “pride and prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. the plots in her works are always very natural. the development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. i think the depth of pride and prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.

Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens.

The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care.

Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.

Mr. Brownlow is one such person.

The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil.

Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. ―Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.‖ Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.

Then there are Mrs. Maylie and Rose, Oliver’s other benefactors. Maybe the reason they loved and cared Oliver was not because of forgiveness. In my point of view, it was trust. They had faith in Oliver when he was considered to be a filthy burglar who tried to break the front door of Maylie’s at midnight. But this wasn’t how these two ladies saw the whole thing. They denied Oliver’s crime immediately and listened attentively to Oliver’s own description of his miserable life. They were deeply touched by Oliver’s strong perseverance and astonishing vitality. Accordingly, they remedied Oliver’s body and heart and turned him into a different boy. He began to wear appropriate and clean suits which were tailor-made for him and receive education.

As far as we can see, it is trust that helps us all live together without precaution. Sometimes trust can even lead us to miracles, which we often expect to come about, so why not trust? Trust yourself, trust others, and you’ll salute miracles every single day.

In the novel, though the young Oliver again and again fell for conspiracies of those hideous thieves, who tried to torture Oliver’s body and poisoned Oliver’s heart intensely, he always lived on and tried hard to seek for his own life. Then I realized what supported him all through were actually beliefs. In most cases, what you believe is what you’ll become. Believe that you are unlimited, that you can do anything you commit to doing, and when you do, your accomplishments will know no bounds. You control your beliefs and that is how you ultimately control your life. It’s all dictated by your attitude.

In the final analysis, love and care contain numerous forms, there are love of forgiveness, love of trust, etc. but they all come from your beliefs in life. When someone tells you he’s deceived you, forgive him anyway, when someone tells you what he’s done, trust him anyway, and when you face adversities while chasing your dreams, think about your beliefs, then what hinders you will become a piece of cake in no time.

So find out ―Olivers‖ in your life and do as Mr. Brownlow and Mrs. Maylie do: love them and care them, which cost nothing but save much. They enrich those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. They can be certain smallest words or actions, but the memory of them sometimes last forever.

Charles Dickens said:―Love makes the world go around.‖ These immortal words have inspired and will keep on inspiring us to chant the melody of love and to say the prayer of care forevermore. Let us, therefore, enjoy life and treat other people lovingly. These principles are the roots and foundations of beliefs supporting this article and our mission together.

Many people in the world are trying to find a perfect companion. Some of these may marry and not know what their new husband or wife is like. This kind of situation often leads to separation or hostility. Other situations may develop between two friends that stem from jealousy, desire for revenge, uncaring parents, etc. Emily Bront?'s Wuthering Heights displays several characteristics of destructive relationships. Three of these are uncaring parents, marriage without knowing the person, and jealousy.

Uncaring or unsympathizing parents are shown throughout this story to be an element of destructive relationships. Because Heathcliff gained all the attention from Mr. Earnshaw, Hindley became disassociated from his father. This separation continued until after Mr. Earnshaw had died.Another example is between Hindley and Hareton. Hindley became such a drunk and a gambler that he could not properly care for young Hareton. This led to a separation between Hareton and his father as well. One primary example of an uncaring parent is shown between Heathcliff and his son Linton.Heathcliff did not even want his son for anything except enacting a part of his revenge. This is shown by Linton's fear of Heathcliff and Heathcliff's enmity toward his son. Linton even says "... my father threatened me, and I dread him - I dread him!"(244) to express his feeling about Heathcliff. The hostility and separation between father and son in this book shows that uncaring parents can cause serious damage in relationships with their children.

This element of destructive behavior may stem from an unhappy marriage in which the husbands or wives don't know each other. This had happened between Isabella and Heathcliff. Isabella did not really know Heathcliff when she married him, but after she had married him she saw that Heathcliff was not a gentleman at all. To declare her feelings she wrote "Is Heathcliff a man? If so, is he mad? And if not, is he a devil? I shan't tell my reasons for making this inquiry; but I beseech you to explain, if you can, what I have married ..."(125). Another example of this is when Catherine married Edgar Linton. Although she had been happy at the beginning of the marriage, she thought having parties all the time was going to be fun. Yet, after a while, she became bored. She also realized that she loved Heathcliff more than Edgar and would always love Heathcliff. This enlightenment created separation between Edgar and Catherine during the final hours of Cathy's life. An additional marriage which was made that was doomed was the one between Catherine and Linton. Because this was a forced marriage, Cathy had not yet learned all she could about Linton.Because she did not know until after the marriage that Linton was selfish and inconsiderate, she became distressed and grew isolated in the house. These three failed marriages described in this novel show that knowing the person you will marry is very important. While these marriages took place, jealousy also took a hold in some relationships. One example of this is when Mr. Earnshaw starts to favor Heathcliff over his own son, Hindley. Because of this, Hindley becomes jealous of young Heathcliff and sets out to make Heathcliff's life a nightmare. Hindley's jealousy becomes evident when he says ,"... be damned you beggarly interloper! and wheedle my father out of all he has; only afterwards show him what you are, imp of Satan."(35). Jealousy was also found very notably in the relationship between Heathcliff and Edgar Linton.

During the summer vacation, I savored Don Quixote again.

The author of this book draws a caricature of the knight errant through themiserable experience of the mad Don Quixote. You see, it's the mill windmill, but he thinks it's a giant with three heads and six arms. So he urges the horsespear to rush away, but it's thrown to the ground and can't move. Even so, whenthe servant Sancho came to tell him again that it was not a giant but awindmill, he argued that it was the magician who turned the giant into awindmill. There are countless such actions, which are very funny and makereaders laugh again and again. The author combines the description of thecharacters of different social classes with the description of the socialreality, vividly reappears the domineering of the noble gentlemen and the upsand downs of the common people.

Don Quixote was a little squire who was fascinated by reading Knights'novels all day. He imitated the ancient knights and went out to adventure anddid many ridiculous things. Although he is crazy, he hates tyranny and crueltyand opposes oppression. You see, once, his horse was injured by a group ofporters. Regardless of the other side's more than 20 people, he resolutelyfought with the other side and was finally knocked down to the ground. If I seemore than 20 men holding sticks, I'm sure I'm not brave enough to go out. I'lleither admit my misfortune or run away. And Don Quixote, knowing that the enemyis strong and we are weak, is still fighting for justice in the end. This spiritis really worth learning. Don Quixote is also very charitable, sympathizing withthe weak and upholding justice. Once, he caught a wronged prisoner. In order tolet him go, he reconciled and beat him once, although at last many prisoners ranaway.

Don Quixote is a complex and contradictory man. He has some other badhabits. He thinks he's right and doesn't listen to others' advice. Sangqiuadvised him not to cut down the windmill, but he didn't listen. At last, he waslifted up by the windmill and hurt. He was nervous again. When he saw a mancoming to him, he thought that the other side was going to fight him, so hekilled the other side with a knife.

The first time I read "Don Quixote", I wanted to laugh, and did ridiculousthings for Don Quixote. The second time I read it, I wanted to cry, for thedomineering of aristocratic gentlemen and the ups and downs of ordinary people. The third time will naturally think from these cries and smiles. So, what do youread from it? Let's talk about it together!

Journey to the West is an ancient myth. I like Journey to the West very much. I watched the cartoon Journey to the West again during the winter vacation.

In Journey to the West, Tang Monk, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Monk Sha are all familiar with it. Among them, my favorite is the Monkey King! Because he is always clever, helpful, and able to distinguish between good and bad people, to guard Tang Monk and his brothers. He is just like our current people's police, who has a burning eye, catches the bad and saves the good, and always protects us. Maybe because Tang Monk didn't use his head when he was in trouble and blindly accepted others' help, sometimes he would not listen to the good advice of Monkey King and fall into the hands of monsters. This is enough to show that we should use our brains when we are in trouble. If we don't use our brains and listen to other people's bad opinions, it will be worse. I also like Zhu Bajie very much. He is a simple but lovely person. He will not come up with some good methods, but he has a sense of justice. He will do whatever he wants to do. He will protect his master's safety regardless of his own safety. He seems a little stupid, but people think he is stupid and cute. We should learn from his courage to fear the enemy. However, some things should be carefully considered before doing them, and we should distinguish what can be done and what can not be done, and we should do it according to our own strength.

In a word, each of the four masters and disciples has their own strengths and weaknesses. It is just the saying that "when three people walk together, there must be my teacher." We should learn from their strengths, and even their weaknesses must be checked to see if they also have them. If they do, we should work hard to correct them and become a whole.
